Why Your Students Need Real World Experience to Build Their Faith

Hands-On Service Makes all the Difference

One of the things we focus on at YouthWorks is helping young people take what they’ve been taught about faith and put it into practice.

We call it Real World Experience, and it’s at the core of our service-based learning model.

Because hearing about putting your faith into action is one thing, but getting to be part of feeding the hungry is another.

Talking about developing leadership skills is great, but actually working alongside nonprofit leaders and organizations brings a new level of impact.

Every part of the YouthWorks experience is designed to give these kinds of opportunities.

For students, the daily service with our community partners shows them practical ways to meet the needs of people in a community.

For the young adults that serve as our Community Hosts, the chance to lead trips and manage all of the responsibility that comes with that proves to be formative in both their spiritual life and in helping them pursue their careers.

We believe that this generation wants to live a life that’s focused on biblical hospitality, service, and justice.

We want to do everything we can to give them the experiences they need to start living that kind of life right now.
