We’re for Parents too!

We often talk about the kind of life-changing, Christ-centered mission trips that we offer to youth across the country. And rightly so – each summer thousands of youth are impacted by God on mission trips. However, we often neglect to recognize the impact that mission trips have on a teenagers home life – not just at church, but in their own house as well. We recently got this note from a parent of a student that came on a trip with us last summer that reminded me of this audience.

My husband and I have two teenaged boys, ages 17 and 15. They have been on YouthWorks missions trips with our church, Calvary Church, to Duluth, Minnesota, Rapid City, South Dakota and Green Bay, Wisconsin. I was blessed to be part of the group that served Rapid City.

 

YouthWorks provides intentional, organized, meaningful and fun experiences for youth in local communities.

 

We have witnessed our boys explore and deepen their relationship with Christ as they travel with their friends and leaders, experience the joy of serving others.

Parents are an often ignored lynch pin in all areas of youth ministry. Take time to recognize their impact and hard work today.
