The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Cheyenne Nation

All year we get the opportunity to work alongside some pretty incredible organizations in communities across the county. As you celebrate this Christmas, consider how you will give generously to organizations that help people in need year round. All week check out some of the organizations we’re thankful for on the YouthWorks blog.

Q. What do they do? Who do they serve?

The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Cheyenne Nation provides a safe place for children of all ages to learn, develop and grow, have fun, and make new friends. Programs intentionally reflect important cultural values and meet the needs of their community. Their main goal is to encourage Cheyenne youth to discover their own creativity and sense of purpose and to develop leadership skills that provide an understanding of their culture, traditional values and sense of responsibly for self, others and for their homeland. They provide gardening opportunities, homework help, sports and other physical activities along with field trips throughout the year.

Q. How long has YouthWorks been partnering with them?

We have supported the mission and values of the Boys and Girls Club for many years. We are excited to continue to see how our partnership will grow in order to best meet the needs of community children.
