Mission Trip Meetings: The Ultimate Guide

YOUR ULTIMATE GUIIDE TO GREAT MISSION TRIP MEETINGS

If you want to have a great mission trip experience, holding intentional meetings with your team beforehand is a great place to start. But when you meet, what will you talk about? This blog is jam packed full of resources to give you some great mission trip meeting options.

We recommend having 3–5 mission trip meeting times beforehand. Ideally, you’ll start these meetings up to 6 months before the trip, then intermittently up until the trip; however, instead of having multiple times to gather students, you may choose to have an overnight event, fitting in several meetings in a short amount of time. Remember, the intention of team meetings is not only to pass along information but also to build camaraderie and create good expectations with students.

RESOURCES (1)

Over the years, we’ve created a ton of great ideas and resources for your mission trip. The following outlines are meant as a starting place for your pre-trip meeting planning, complete with some great resources for you to include. The place you are going, the people you are taking, and the context of your trip will all play factors in what you include in your meetings.

If you are a trip leader on a YouthWorks trip, there are plenty of great resources available for you, including meeting outlines, promo materials and more when you log into our website.
