Colossians Prayer

Dear God,

Give us wise minds and spirits that are in tune with your will.

Help us better understand how you are at work all around us.

I pray that we could live well and work hard in ways that honor you.

Grow our knowledge of you, God. Help us know what to do with all you’ve given us.

Give us strength to stick it out over the long haul – not a grim strength that makes us grit our teeth to just get through it… but a God-given strength that spills over with joy and thanksgiving, even when we endure the hardest things imaginable.

And help us live out the purpose for which you made us – a purpose that gives each of us a place in the bright and beautiful things you are doing through your followers.

Amen.
