CELEBRATE MEANINGFUL SERVICE I Social Roundup #yw2017
Celebrate our YouthWorks mission trip experiences and listen as God inspires you to seek out new and meaningful ways to serve in your community every day.
This summer has been inspirational with each and everyone of these kids, learning what God's Good Life is. I am leaving Cortez with memories that will last a lifetime, more faith than when I arrived, and an infinite amount of pictures, drawings, friendship bracelets, and pottery! Cortez and Its community members will always hold a special place in my heart!!❤️ #yw2017 #thegoodlife
STAFF STORIES: "For me, this is what heaven looks like. Youthworks cookouts bring everyone, participant and community member, together at the end of a long service week and we just get to eat and play. I think celebration is the largest part of God's heart and we miss out on those opportunities far too often. May your parties be the best parties that ever existed." #yw2017 #Harrisburg Cred: @kaylasuerosey
Yesterday we prayerfully sent off our last trip. It seems like each goodbye gets harder and harder, and I'm forever grateful to have served alongside the incredible participants who came on these mission trips. At the beginning of this summer, I thought I would be the one serving and teaching and leading and pouring out, but as I finish my time here I realize that I've learned so much more than I've taught. I've been humbly served by having my feet washed and been graced by the love and service of these participants. I have gained so much more than I ever would have imagined from my experience this summer, and I'm so thankful to God for showing me more of Himself through the participants, this community, and my team. I will never forget the faces and stories that I've encountered here in Columbus. I'm thankful for every single participant, service partner, community member, and YW staff who have supported and prayed for my team and I. All glory be to Christ! #yw2017 #godisgood #ohio #oheyo
I'm thankful for the community God has given me here in St. Louis. Meet Kendrick. Kendrick stops me in my day to preach for me for 2 hours, today, he taught me how to paint a room so that a elderly man can move in. He also let me do a terrible job and said it was fine because I was doing it with love. I could write a book about how much this man has taught me over the past month but I'll let him do that instead. #yw2017 #thegoodlife
