Q. What do they do? Who do they serve?

The Bethel Neighborhood Center provides a variety of services for community members. It offers programs all ages from youths to senior citizens and it also has ESL classes, a food pantry, and church services. Bethel also works to provide assistance to many refugee and immigrant families in the community. The summer program that YouthWorks helps out with is very important to many kids in the community because it is a safe and welcoming place where they can go to learn and have fun during the summer months.

Q. How long has YouthWorks been partnering with them?

We’ve been partnering with Bethel Neighborhood Center for as long as our site has been open in Kansas City. Our participants help with planning fun games and activities to engage the kids that Bethel works with.
