Practical Steps Towards Healthy Mission Trips

A lot of intentionality goes into a good mission trip. This year at the National Youth Workers Convention, we loved getting to share some things we’ve learned about creating healthy mission trip experiences for both those going and the people who invite them in. Here is just a small excerpt of the 90-minute workshop. To get the entire audio for this and tons of other great youth ministry training, visit the Youth Specialties Store.

When he isn’t hanging around teenagers at church or digging into seminary homework, he is generally looking for a good conversation and a hole-in-the-wall restaurant to have it in. Sam still considers his first couple summers working for YouthWorks in Virginia and Pennsylvania communities some of the most transformative times of his life.
