Philadelphia, PA
- Custom Trips: High School and Up
Spend one or more days walking alongside local partners in the Philadelphia community as you serve neighbors experiencing food and housing insecurity.
Overview
In Philadelphia, your group will have the opportunity to serve alongside social service organizations and urban gardens working to combat food insecurity, support local youth programming, and care for neighbors experiencing homelessness. Service may include planting and weeding in urban gardens, packing boxes at food distribution centers, or helping load and unload deliveries for local food pantries as partners work to meet ongoing community needs. During free time, groups can explore Old City and the Liberty Bell, stroll along the Delaware River, or run the iconic “Rocky Steps” at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. YouthWorks has been serving in this community since 2004.
