Overview

In Nashville your group will serve alongside local organizations through a variety of opportunities, including partnering with local organizations through food and clothing sorting and distribution, spending time with elderly individuals, participating in community beautification projects, and assisting with youth programming. During your free time you’ll have the opportunity to explore downtown Nashville, spend time at Centennial Park, take photos at the Parthenon, or visit one of the many local parks in the area. YouthWorks has partnered with this community since 2010.

Partner with local organizations to meet ongoing needs in the community.

Students may serve all or part of their trip at a food pantry, doing community beautification projects, supporting summer youth programming, serving at meal centers, or assisting with local community intiatives. ** Trips taking place outside of the summer may have limited opportunities to support youth programming.

Due to high traffic congestion in the city of Nashville, some service and activities can take upwards of 40 minutes to arrive at destination.

Groups should plan for $20-$30 per vehicle to cover the cost of parking for activities in the downtown area. Also plan for additional parking costs at some service sites located in downtown.
