YouthWorks’ 2015 Summer Theme

 

It’s coming, but right here. It’s unobservable, yet all around us. It’s a little like a tiny seed, and worth all you have. It is something we are a part of, and it becomes a part of us. It is what we pray for, yet it is not what we expect.

 

As teenagers serve and grow through their YouthWorks trip in 2015, they will hear about the Kingdom that Jesus so often talked about. More than simple service, students will be invited into the bigger story of what God is doing in the world.

 

Two thousand years ago, people didn’t always understand the unifying, sacrificial, sometimes-quiet work of Christ’s Kingdom. Today, we still get stuck in our own expectations of what that work should look like. But the Kingdom tends to overturn the ordinary and exceed our expectations.
