Rutland/Green Mountains, VT

  • Custom Trips: Middle School and Up

Overview

Much of the service work your group will do in Rutland includes the outdoors and getting close to the dirt. Whether you’re helping develop and maintain trails at Pine Hills Park, serving with the Parks and Recreation Department staff or weeding in a community garden, you’ll get to experience the great beauty of the Green Mountain state. Participants may also have the opportunity to serve through simple work projects, visit with some of Rutland’s elderly residents or help other local organizations. In the evenings, you could experience some unique activities, including indoor rock climbing, hiking and swimming. YouthWorks has partnered with this community since 2007.
