Serve alongside community members to meeting ongoing needs of the city through community beautification and food security projects, as well as relational ministry with elderly populations.

Overview

In Duluth, your group will partner with local organizations that are impacting their community. Your group may have the opportunity to assist in children’s programming at a local youth center, care for the elderly by helping with outdoor yard projects, or sort donations at a food pantry. In the afternoons, you will hear from a local community speaker and enjoy opportunities to explore Enger Tower and the Great Lakes Aquarium. YouthWorks has partnered with this community since 1998.

Participants may serve all or part of the week at a food shelf, meal center, children's program, elder care facility or local cleanup projects.

Serve the elderly community through beautification projects, weeding, gardening, cleaning, yard work or doing other minor work projects.

Service experiences may include multiple opportunities throughout the week.
