Brooklyn, NY

  • Custom Trips: High School and Up

Overview

In Brooklyn, your group could serve at food pantries or bust a move on the dance floor at a senior center. You’ll discover the beautiful communities that exist within each city block and why Brooklynites are so proud of their borough. In the evenings, you could ride the subway to the Brooklyn Bridge and take in the skyline of Manhattan, or visit Coney Island to see the Cyclone, enjoy a hot dog or just watch the Atlantic Ocean. YouthWorks has partnered with this community since 2003.

Because of limited parking and New York City traffic, expect to park on the street and to have longer commutes to service sites. Although 12-passenger vans are allowed at this site, 7-passenger minivans will make driving and parking easier. Any 15 passenger vans brought to Brooklyn may not be allowed to park at the housing site. Groups will be required to find their own street parking or park in a parking garage. Street parking in Brooklyn may incur fees $1.25 and up per vehicle, per hour.
