Overview
Your group will have the opportunity to partner with social service organizations throughout the Bay Area, especially organizations that serve those who are experiencing homelessness or have been displaced. You could also be serving with organizations such as the Salvation Army or Boys and Girls Clubs that are working to promote education and nutrition with children. In the evenings, you could enjoy sightseeing in San Francisco and learn from local leaders about the issues affecting the Bay Area. YouthWorks has partnered with this community since 2004.

Students may serve all or part of the week at a food shelf, clothing distribution center, soup kitchen, children’s program or elder care facility.
Some service sites and evening activities require $10-$20 per vehicle for parking.
