Philadelphia, PA
- Custom Trips: High School and Up
Spend 1+ days with local partners serving throughout the Philadelphia community focusing on food & home insecurities.
Overview
Your group could partner with social service organizations and urban gardens that are helping combat food insecurity. Your group could also support organizations providing local youth programming and serving those experiencing homelessness. Whether you are planting and weeding at an urban garden, packing boxes at a food distribution center, or helping load and unload food deliveries to food pantries, your group will assist partners in helping meet the ongoing needs within the community. In the evenings, explore Old Historic City and the Liberty Bell, stroll along the shore of the Delaware River and run up the “Rocky Balboa Steps” at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. YouthWorks has been serving in this community since 2004.
