Brooklyn, NY

  • Custom Trips: All Ages

Overview

In Brooklyn, your group will minister by serving at elderly centers, soup kitchens and more. You’ll serve at food pantries and bust a move on the dance floor at senior centers. You’ll discover the beautiful communities that exist within each city block and why Brooklynites are so proud of their borough. In the evenings, you could ride the subway to the Brooklyn Bridge and take in the skyline of Manhattan, or visit Coney Island and see the Cyclone, enjoy a hot dog or just watch the Atlantic Ocean. YouthWorks has partnered with this community since 2003.

Because of limited parking and New York City traffic, expect to park on the street. Although 12-passenger vans are allowed at this site, 7-passenger minivans will make driving and parking easier. Any 15 passenger vans brought to Brooklyn will not be allowed to park at the housing site. Groups will be required to find their own street parking or at a parking garage. Street parking near or around the housing site is free, all other street parking in Brooklyn will incur fees $1.25 and up per vehicle, per hour.

Please bring additional money for subway fares if you plan on venturing out into the city for evening activities (optional).
