Overview

Your group will serve alongside partners engaged in long‑term community development in the Houston area. Through your service you will contribute directly to projects that strengthen and support local neighborhoods by assisting with minor home repairs, supporting organizations serving individuals experiencing homelessness and food insecurity, and spending meaningful time with elderly residents in local senior centers.

Partner with local organizations to meet ongoing needs in the community.

Particpants may serve all or part of their trip at a food pantry, meal center, clothing distribution center, or spending time at an elderly care facility playing games and activities with the seniors.

Customize the experience to the needs of your group

Due to high traffic congestion in Houston, your group can expect to experience long drive times to some service sites, shower locations, or Community Activities.

Groups should plan for an additional $15-$25 per vehicle to cover the cost of parking when visiting popular tourist locations during your free time.
