ABOUT MOUNT EVEREST
Mount Everest is sure to elevate any experience to the next level. With a beautiful vista in every direction, this destination has moved many youth pastors past a plateau in their ministry. Despite the beautiful scenery many who visit the Everest community find themselves on edge as they face a “hike yourself up by your bootstraps” mentality from their peers. This community is continually making their own path as they seek to rise above the challenges they are presented with. Even for a seasoned mission tripper, the strengths and struggles of Mt. Everest are sure to peak your interests.
SERVING ON MOUNT EVEREST
- Give Everest a sense of pride by helping layer the mountain with a fresh coat of snow.
- Assist in oxygenation efforts by planting a new Spruce-Dogwood hybrid above the existing tree line.
- Rake leaves.
- Cast vision with local hikers who just don’t see the point anymore.
COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE
Mount Everest offers a range of opportunities that will have students sharing their highs and lows all week. Although some people find mountains rappelling, you’re journey up Everest will provide your group with a Mountain Top Experience. A high point for your group is sure to be the hike around the base of mount Everest – 7 times – singing “Go Tell It On the Mountain” the whole way. At the end of the week, a community friend will answer the avalanche of questions your students have about ongoing ministry to the Everest community.
