Meet The New YouthWorks President

YouthWorks was founded more than 30 years ago by a youth pastor who believed that his students experienced exponential spiritual growth during weeklong mission trips and wanted to make sure more teenagers could have the same opportunities for growth. A lot of things have changed in the world around us over the past 30 years, and while YouthWorks has evolved, the heartbeat remains the same: to see teenagers know God and love like Jesus through Christ-Centered mission trips.

We are excited to announce that Carlos Piñero is the new President of Youthworks! Carlos joined the team in 2022 as the Vice President of Mobilization and he brings years of experience in local church and para-church leadership. We believe that God will continue to use YouthWorks to disciple the next generation of Christ followers, and that Carlos is uniquely gifted with vision and passion to lead the ministry into the next season.

Carlos and his wife Lydia live in Arlington, Texas, with their 5 kids and Corgi named Bonhoeffer. On the evenings and weekends, you can find them playing flag football, visiting the zoo, or exploring new restaurants. Carlos’ love language is craft coffee, fajitas, and the Dallas sports scene.
